Meet Adriana

Adriana Vorster,
General Psychologist

Adriana is a general Psychologist with over a decade's experience working with diverse clients, providing brief solutions-focused support and longer-term evidence-based treatment for mood-related difficulties. Adriana has a keen interest in brain-based therapies and neuropsychology.

Adriana uses principles of neuro psychotherapy with an underpinning in counselling approaches like Person-centred therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (including schema exploration), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to assist clients in working through their challenges. She typically works with young adults seeking assistance with adjustment difficulties (including adjustment to recent diagnosis of ADHD as adult), perfectionism, anxiety, procrastination, relationship difficulties, work and/or study stress, burnout and low self-esteem. She regards herself as a warm and approachable practitioner who values the unique experience that everyone brings to the various challenges they face in life.

As a practitioner, she aims to provide a safe, secure, and supportive therapeutic space to help clients overcome (and sometimes around) these difficulties in realising their potential. Her professional background includes Master's degrees in both Psychology and Organisational Psychology with a focus on Positive Psychology practices, and is currently furthering her Clinical studies.
